Self Portrait-Shuting Qi
My photo was talking about my situation now. The picture frame described a box, and which showed I was in the box. The box fills in my self-portrait and connecting hands in the back. My self-portrait had three different perspectives of myself. I tried to show I had different emotion fells with different situation in daily life. The connecting hands at back showed I was tiring to go up and up, but something always push me back. I used the other hand described something dragged me. However, the integral situation was I am still going up even thought I was in a box.
For self-portrait, I choose to lay two different pictures together for one. So I had two parts of my self-portrait. For the first part, I asked my friend to help me took three directions with different expressions picture of myself. To lay three pictures as one had to change the opacity setting. For the mainly middle one, I use 85% opacity because I want it to be the clearest one. For the other two pictures both face on different direction, I used 60% and 45% opacity. I combined the self-picture as a group and layer to another picture. The picture took at my study room. There was a fancy mirror frame on the wall. I used a part of mirror frame on my picture as a box edge. I asked for help from my friend again. I asked her use her one arm keep dragging me down to the ground. I was standing on the chair and keep going up. I set the 10 sec timer to take the picture. I layer two parts picture as one to be my self-portrait.
